Durham Tees Valley's Weekend event ( Return to Diary Page )

This is the DTV area's event held on home ground at the Middleton St George Cricket Club. This event took the form of a day time display followed by a 40's evening dance. The day displays were of the usual high standard and although not all members were present (some people just want to go wine tasteing in France can't understand why?) a good turnout of vehicles was presented. Also in attendance were some members of the local vintage car and motorcycle clubs which added colour and varity to the event. The cricket club was suitably decorated for the period and the afternoon fashion show drew a good attendance from the visiting public. For the evening the singing group 'Spot On' were with us and along with some old washer woman (Clifton in drag) provided us with great entertainment. The day and evening activities were hailed as a success and from one Chelsea Pensioner's point of view we should have more of the same next year
